Abstract
R&D activities are important in the new economic order created by today's information society and globalization process. This importance stems from the added value of R&D activities to the production of high-tech products. In this case, it is expected that R&D activities accelerate economic growth and be stable. The new economic order is realized with technological production rather than labor-intensive production. In this production process, economies attach great importance to science-technology policies. Thanks to science-technology policies, countries aim to increase their level of competition. In this study, the relationship between R&D expenditures, high-tech product exports and economic growth was analyzed by panel data analysis method, which includes cross-sectional dependency within the 2010-2020 period data for 8 Asian countries. The stationarity of the series was tested with the Hadri-Kuruzomi unit root test, the causality relationship was tested with the Dumitrescu-Hurlin test, the cointegration relationship was tested with the Westerlung-Edgerton LM bootstrap test, and the cointegration coefficients were estimated with the Eberhardt-Bond Panel AMG method.
