I keep getting the message "Paper requires modifications"

The reason why you get this message is because your paper does not conform to the formatting rules. Most likely, you did not format the paper using the styles in the template document.

Please make sure that you format the paper using the proper styles:

• The title should be formatted with style "Title"
• The main text should be formatted with style "Normal"
• The section headings in the text should be formatted with style "Heading 1"
• The captions under the tables and figures should be formatted with style "Caption"

In order to format some text with a style, select it using the mouse and then click once on the name of the style in the ribbon bar on top of the Microsoft Word window.

Do not leave any extra empty lines between the paragraphs.
