Abstract
Banks are the most important actors of the financial system, and they influence both the financial system and the national economic system with their practices and financial policies. We can say that there is no economic sector that is not affected by the banking system. For this reason, it is very important to evaluate how banks work and their activities in terms of performance. Scientific studies on performance analysis in banking have gained more and more importance in recent years and have entered an increase in numbers. Because it is about the fact that the financial performance of each bank individually, as well as the financial performance of the banking sector as a whole, have become the most important indicators that affect not only the stakeholders of the banks, but also the entire national financial system, and therefore the economy and even the global financial system. In this study, the financial performances of banks operating in Turkey will be compared based on the selected criteria by using SECA method that is the one of the multi-criteria decision-making techniques and the most successful bank or banks will be tried to be determined.
